Meet The owner

Hello! My name is Lindsay Young (formerly Smith) and I am the proud owner of Bizi Kidz in Burlington, NC. I am married to my husband, Jeremiah Young, of 6 years and we have two wonderful children together. I love to travel and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. I also love thrift shopping! No matter what state I’m visiting, stopping by the local Goodwill is always on the to-do list! 

My journey with Bizi Kidz began while in college. I worked as a childcare provider at Bizi Kidz in Greensboro, NC while pursing an Elementary Ed degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduating, I taught first grade at a local charter school. In 2012 I took a leap of faith and returned to Bizi Kidz, this time as the owner/operator of the Bizi Kidz Burlington location! 

What I love most about Bizi Kidz is the strong and lasting bonds I get to create with the children and families of Bizi Kidz. I get the privilege to care for, nurture, and watch them as they grow from toddlers to preteens! I also love to see them learn through play! Their imagination and personalities blossom when they are allowed to “Just Be Kids”…No set rules…no structured lessons...just open ended free play! Each day is fresh and full of laughter!
